I survived!!!

Wow! Almost a whole month without blogging...but not quite. I cannot begin to say how glad I am that the holidays are over and done with for another year. Phew. I managed to eek out with my sanity intact. I've come to one realization though: my children are spoiled spoiled spoiled!! While I managed to churn out Aaron's stocking in time, I completely lost momentum on Maya's. For shame. Then managed to forget all stockings for our trip to sister n law's house for Xmas! Oiy!
Christmas morning was fine despite all that. Everybody got what they wanted. Well, I didn't get yarn or a gift card to a yarn store but I got everything I needed and more.
With the turn of the season has come sort of a freeing up of knitting time. I know there were a bunch of things I wanted to make/finish but can't seem to recall them now. I had to spit out a pair of houseshoes as we experienced a freak cold snap here in ATL and they came out nice and cozy.

That was until the dog (with un-groomed butt hair) dropped a piece of poop on the kitchen floor and hubby proceeded to step in and track said poop all over the kitchen. Next thing I know, there's poop on my brand new FO and Hubby is having an A-plus hissy! I love the man, but he reacts with predictable hysteria whenever something dirty gets in the house. Even the kids know the drill: go upstairs and stay out of the way of the furious cleaning taking place. Our dog is an Australian Shephard. She has LOTS of hair. It grows fast. The temp outside is 30 degrees. I don't wanna go out in the cold and cut dog butt hair. She's my dog however, therefore, I am solely responsible for her maintenance and cleanup. Nevermind he follows behind me and cleans everything thing I've just cleaned (only when it comes to dog poop).
One thing is for sure...I know what I'm getting him for his birthday.
In other news I've been spending a crazy amount of time playing Tomb Raider Anniversary. Oh, Tomb Raider, how I love thee. Let me count the ways.....
I'm a fan of Laura, okay? Sheesh. We went to the GameStop post Xmas and struck Gold. Two, count them 2, Tony Jaa movies, Tomb Raider, Sonic the Hedgehog games, Napolean Dynamite and Front Mission 4!! We're set for the next 6 months baby! Do our kids even realize how cool their parents are?!!
